Transport communications are good either by road and air from Marrakech and there is a brand new international airport at Essaouira. A new dual carriageway is presently being built between Essaouira and Marrakech, his majesty the King of Morocco has already inaugurated the first completed section .
Work has already started on a high speed train link (French TGV train), from the northern Moroccan town of Tangiers (a 30 minute boat crossing from Tarifa, in Spain), to Agadir, via Essaouira and Marrakech (contract signed by the French president Sarkosy with the Moroccan government - more info: CLICK HERE).
